Hi I’m Charlie, im an aspiring 3D artist & game designer who is currently looking for work. from a young age I have always had a huge interest in games, this started with the DS and the PS2. since then I have continued to play games daily, only increasing my passion for games.
Throughout my 3 years at University i have gained many skills that range from creating levels within Unreal engine, to modelling assets in maya and sculpting characters in Zbrush. I have also developed my teamwork and communication skills by working in a group for certain projects.
This Portfolio will showcase these skills through work I have made covering all the different aspects of the games industry. Both personal and University work that I have enjoyed creating will be shown, I cannot wait to share with my work with you and hope it can convince you to offer me a role in your team.

One of our assignments was to create a 2D game using unity. I decided to do a platformer and use pixel for the art style. I created each of the assets that would be included. I was really pleased with the outcome of this as pixel art was not something I had done before.
This selection of work is a personal project of mine I started in the summer of 2022. I had always wanted to have a go at digital art but was put off due to the struggles of pencil and paper drawing. However using YouTube and the great features like the undo button over a month or two I was able to create these pieces and plan on continuing to do more in the future.

These are some of the assets I have produced throughout my time at University for various assignments. Some of these have been made for environments, some for levels (Linked below) and some for characters. Asset design is something i have done since college and is something I really enjoy doing. I do my modelling in maya and i am thinking about learning blender in the future to further my skills.
During this assignment we had to create a VFX production. We had multiple choices ranging from a tv commercial to a game trailer. I decided to do a game cutscene for a boss intro. as well as making the VFX i designed the level using assets from the epic store and implemented the animations, I really enjoyed this assignment and will definitely explore VFX and animation further.
This is another assignment I really enjoyed and is something I want to revisit in the future as a solo project. In this assignment we had to produce a team project. Some groups had 6-7 people in and some like mine had 2 people so the amount of work expected was different depending on the size. Me and my group member planned on make a game where the player had to defeat enemies and do certain challenges to stop the timer from running out causing them to die.
My role was coding and making things happen within unreal engine, while my group member made the environment and assets. During this assignment I was able to implement many mechanics including an AI who guarded a certain area.
The gifs on the left show off some other examples of blue prints from the previously mentioned level I made for a game, it has also been linked but will be linked again here just in case you missed it and want to see the full process.
Personal Project & Major project 3D Character Work
The work shown on the left is a character I made for a personal project and to help with experience and understanding Zbrush more, this was done with the help of the Beginners guide to Zbrush book I bought last year. The two sculpts on the right are the major project characters I have been making. Im really pleased with how they look at the end of the sculpting phase in comparison to older work.
