Organisational Skills, Schedules & Planning
After doing our presentation on how we were going to make the game originally, we decided to make some changes. The player will now have a timer as health, this will naturally tick down but will deplete by 5 seconds when they get it and will go up by 5 seconds when they defeat an enemy. They will also have things they can interact with in the environment. We decided this as we thought it would work better than the last idea ands would just be a lot more unique. I also missed out on some concept ideas and research Adam did at the start of the year, however it did not hinder the project as I was here for the next stage of planning.
In the images above it is showing just some of the many messages me and Adam sent when planning and sharing our ideas for this project, making sure it was right for what we were aiming for.
During some discussions we talked about the main part of the project we wanted to get done, so for me it was about getting the code done to a good amount and for Adam it was the modelling of the area which he did very well. I planned on doing my work on unreal engine Adams work was done through modelling software. We also compared the different mini game ideas however we didn’t go with these due to the change of the project after the feedback we had during the lectures when we presented to the group. Adam followed this up by making a diagram with the different aspects of the game.
We also discussed the project during our in person labs and lectures.
