Individual Role

Skills & Strengths: My skills & strengths range across quite a few things, im not great at one particular thing however i can do a lot of things to a decent level. I can do 3D modelling, 2D design, Scripting, making/adding in sounds, character design.

Once we were put into our groups we then had to meet up and decide what we are going to create, what each of us would contribute to the work and the role we would take throughout this process. After discussing the skill and strengths of each of us with my group member and seeing what they were good at in comparison to me we decided they would be better as the group leader, and that they would do the visual aspects, creating the 3D models, and the animations for the game. I think these roles work really well and will help us be the most effective. We were allowed to choose our groups after a activity where we all spoke to each other about our skills etc.

These roles were also effected by the psychometric test we had done in the first week to see how much we related to certain parts of a orchestra starting at the conductor going all the way to someone who’s out of the way in the background/doesn’t have a huge role but still has a vital part to play, which I would say I relate to a lot more than the conductor. We also used this information to decide the groups by going around talking to different people in the class to see what their skills were and what they would say their role would be.

However, after the last 12 weeks i would say i feel a lot more confident than i did at the start and i could possibly do a more significant role. A lot of factors played a part in this but one of the main things is the weekly presentations we did.
